Redcliffe’s David Fahey has won the 2018 Queensland Indigenous Championship at Murgon Golf Club with a 54-hole total of 217.

Fahey excelled in foggy early morning conditions with rounds of 73-73-71 giving him a three-shot leeway to Hervey Bay’s Shane Bird on 220.

Garrett Malone (Toowoomba) claimed the nett event with a score of 200, followed by Michael Muller (Blackwater) with 203.

Chole Letts of Pacific was the only female participant in the field and is to be commended on her terrific play.

Fahey and Malone also receive a start in the Isuzu Queensland Open Pro-Am during tournament week of 1-4 November, at The Brisbane Golf Club.

Thanks goes to Murgon Golf Club for hosting another great championship, with the course once again in fantastic condition.
