Golf Queensland announce State Teams

The Men's Team will be lead by Golf Australia squad member Daniel Nisbet, who is currently playing overseas following his amazing ‘four-peat' victories at the South Australian Invitational, Queensland Stroke Play Championship, Queensland Amateur and Keperra Bowl. The Team also includes some significant experience in the form of debutant 30-year old Steven Thompson, the 2009 Men's Queensland Champions of Champions winner, and winner of both the 2007 and 2008 Queensland Indigenous Championships.
A strong Queensland Women's Team includes Ashley Ona, who has a nationals title to her name in 2009 courtesy of the Queensland Girl's Team victory at the Australian Girls' Interstate Teams Matches at Alice Springs and an individual victory at the Australian Girl's Amateur Championship at the same venue.
The 2009 Australian Men's and Women's Interstate Teams Matches are played from 21 to 25 September at the Peninsula Country Golf Club in Melbourne. The Australian Colt's Interstate Teams Matches will be played on the same dates at Melbourne's Keysborough Golf Club.
